Use the power of design to motivate your local KC community to register and VOTE in the 2024 general election. Submit your original design created in any medium with a non-partisan call to action. Submissions will be judged on the visual impact, creativity, and power of the message. KC-based creatives from all disciplines are welcome, and students, young professionals, and recent grads are encouraged to submit! Cash prizes will be awarded to selected winner(s).

 

REQUIREMENTS

• No entry fee is required.

• Download containing the InDesign and Photoshop templates.

• Posters must be non-partisan and communicate a voter-mobilizing call to action.

• Poster artwork can include any combination of illustration, image, and text, photographs of built environments, sculpture, or physical works or installations in any medium.

• Posters must be in 11”x17” portrait format.

• Provide your information (name, city, state) for design credit in the branded band where indicated. The text credit is set in Arial Italic and included in the template.

• Submit artwork as a high-resolution PDF (Max file size is 2MB).

• In your email - provide your name, city/state, firm name. You are encouraged to provide a link to your personal portfolio or social for self-promotion. Do not include your name or identifying marks on your poster itself – judging will be anonymous.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT ENTRIES?

• Creatives from any discipline are welcome—graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Landscape Architect, Urban Planning, and Experiential Design. You do not need to be a member of CfA&D or our member organizations to submit.

• Must be a resident of the 5-county Kansas City metro area or a student (or recent grad) living in Lawrence, KS, Manhattan, KS, or Columbia, MO.

ENTRY DEADLINE

Entries are due at midnight on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

 

RIGHTS AND REPRODUCTION

By submitting a poster, you certify that you created or have ownership of the work—including the right to distribute any images and fonts used in your design. You retain the copyright and agree to distribute under a Creative Commons “Attribution-No Derivs” license. You grant CfA&D the right to use accepted work for reproduction in posters, in publications, in exhibitions, on its website and partner websites, and for educational and CfA&D-related noncommercial promotional purposes.
